\non an airbed
\npumping away,<\/p>\n
\nat this late hour.
\nMy hand on the hillock;
\na creeper on a gravid marble sphere.<\/p>\n
\ninside that colloidal world?
\nWas that a punch
\nagainst the dark cloud?<\/p>\n
\nhastens into eruptive silence.
\nWhat nub enfaced the shell?
\nA shrimpy knee perhaps.<\/p>\n
\nA string of berried vertebrae;
\nA knolled skull; a timorous elbow.
\nOnly nature\u2019s secret blind spot knows.<\/p>\n
\nmute and balletic musculature;
\nbut tonight we sleep as three,
\ncudgelling the dark for contact.<\/p>\n
