I also hope these excruciatingly honest thoughts can raise awareness that rape is not about the physical aspect of sex, but about betrayal and what abuse of power can do to a person at their core. Everybody\u2019s experience is different of course, but emotional abuse made me believe that\u00a0I<\/em>\u00a0was bad, profoundly damaged and not worthy of love.<\/p>\n You can believe the damage was there before any potential trauma (particularly if you don\u2019t remember a before) and that\u2019s why you were singled out. This is not true of course. \nThe tantrum is a hassle, a child crying within<\/p>\n
\nComfort me and smother me with love
\nAsking too much wanting cuddles
\nInstead I disconnect and fly up above<\/p>\n
\nlearning to soothe, you only have yourself
\nMy soul is just an instrument
\nThere for anyone but this<\/em> self<\/p>\n
\nHad hopes, desires and dreams
\nMy achievements were no thanks to you
\nAnd nothing was as it seemed<\/p>\n
\nMy feelings were never validated, and mould grows when it is left.<\/p>\n
