BOUNCING<\/span>


Sometimes you do not feel<\/span>
Like bouncing<\/span>
Land with a splat and lie<\/span>
Compressed<\/span>
Airless, flat, no rebound.<\/span>

On half days you plop back<\/span>
Enough to roll<\/span>
Slowly depart the point<\/span>
Of impact<\/span>
To comfort of shadows<\/span>

In high times you drop<\/span>
Expecting<\/span>
The bounce to bring you back<\/span>
To the top<\/span>
All laughter and smiles<\/span>

The dream is of the day<\/span>
You fly up<\/span>
Higher than the descent<\/span>
Suspended<\/span>
Never to plummet down<\/span>
