Like a marble rolling down a hill<\/span>
I found the place I\u2019ve settled in<\/span>
I\u2019m here, but easily dislodged<\/span>
by vibration<\/span>
the temporary home I see<\/span>
walls at times folding in<\/span>
as good a place as any<\/span>
but not what conjures rest<\/span>
or reflection, or comfort<\/span>

flavor bud living<\/span>
as Captain B. once said<\/span>
but then again,<\/span>
if this roll was too cozy<\/span>
I might fall asleep, again<\/span>

I brought you unstructured ornaments<\/span>
that could not be repeated<\/span>
no matter how much I wanted to<\/span>
rendered insubstantial<\/span>
by their irreproducability<\/span>
where was my follow-up?<\/span>
where was the framework?<\/span>
I had never been here before<\/span>
a monkey at my typewriter<\/span>

this is what my new home will look like<\/span>
something I\u2019ve never seen<\/span>
but familiar<\/span>
