Five Years<\/span>


It\u2019s been five years. <\/span>
Your feet still dangle <\/span>
In the backyard of my mind.<\/span>
I tied a noose around my regrets <\/span>
And hanged them beside you that day. <\/span>

Now broken promises <\/span>
Come creeping under bedroom doors <\/span>
When we turn out the lights.<\/span>
The boogieman is real. <\/span>

And angry. <\/span>

And blonde.<\/span>

Cameras With No Film<\/span>


We were killing time to kill our minds<\/span>
We filled ourselves with ten cent dreams<\/span>
And even cheaper contradictions<\/span>
We wrote basement manifestos <\/span>
In used marble notebooks<\/span>
And that smile your parents paid for<\/span>
Outshone everything I had to say<\/span>
