Sore<\/p>\n<p>to the marrow. Sucked dry, panic eats.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>A photograph is different, light bends<\/p>\n<p>around my dense form. Skimmed milk, cleanse,<\/p>\n<p>no milk, no meat, no rice, no bread.<\/p>\n<p>Acid teeth. I cannot be in two places at once<\/p>\n<p>but here I am, nude in flux \u2013 the man<\/p>\n<p>staring into himself going on forever<\/p>\n<p>fat and thin-legged and weak and irregular<\/p>\n<p>as a broken heartbeat, a perfect tree.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>George Sandifer-Smith<\/strong> is a Welsh writer.
