\nare inside me now
\nshouting that this is a fine day for it
\nthat they needn\u2019t have brought their brollies,
\ntheir rain faces, their fold up kagoules<\/p>\n
\nI speak water lilies and doves
\nthe day is a wedding
\nand shortly we will all climb with our brimming glasses
\naboard a vintage double decker<\/p>\n
\nthey are building their bakeries inside me
\nthey are making baklava and baking exquisite cakes
\nthey are replacing my blood with confectioner\u2019s custard
\nand icing the insides of my breasts<\/p>\n
\nthe sky is smiling widely showing its teeth of birds
\nno bombs are falling
\nwe have 24 hour supermarkets and online shopping<\/p>\n
\nwe can pick them up and check them out
\nwe can put them under our jumpers and take them home<\/p>\n
\nare camped on the edge of the deep dark pool
\nthey are writing their epic poems on the inside of my skin
\nthey are filling me up with shopping lists
\nchapters of novels, letters and bills
\nI am word confetti<\/p>\n
