Time had melted<br \/>\nflesh away, revealing the miracle<br \/>\nof its engineering, in segments<br \/>\nand articulations, a suit of armour<br \/>\nstill functioning in our snow-bitten,<br \/>\nastonished fingers, as we prowled<br \/>\nthe empty shore, pleased to find<br \/>\nsuch a simple gift, today of all days.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Robert Ford<\/strong>&#8216;s poetry has appeared in both print and online publications in the UK and US, including\u00a0Antiphon, The Interpreter&#8217;s House,\u00a0Butcher&#8217;s Dog\u00a0and\u00a0San Pedro River Review.
