ALONE<\/span>
 <\/span>

the other side of the bed<\/span>
was empty, creased-free<\/span>
when I woke up again this morning<\/span>
forgetting you had to leave<\/span>
that I have to do things by<\/span>
myself, alone.<\/span>
it was already ten A.M.<\/span>
the sun was high but I<\/span>
can't feel the heat<\/span>
only the coldness of the nights<\/span>
I tried to bear, endless nights without you.<\/span>
I dragged myself from the bed<\/span>
fix a cup of hot coffee<\/span>
I looked for your favorite mug<\/span>
but the usual spot was empty<\/span>
remembering you took it with you.<\/span>
I took a cold shower<\/span>
hoping  the pain will ease a bit<\/span>
even for awhile<\/span>
but the splatter of the water on my face<\/span>
only mingled with my tears.<\/span>
dripping wet, I opened my wardrobe<\/span>
and saw only pastel, soft garments<\/span>
neatly folded<\/span>
no faded denims, no dark colored shirts.<\/span>
quietly I dressed up<\/span>
went downstairs and I say<\/span>
goodbye out loud<\/span>
forgetting again<\/span>
another slap on my face<\/span>
that there's no one will answer back<\/span>
I crossed down the street<\/span>
without looking back<\/span>
why should I<\/span>
if I knew that it was just<\/span>
an empty house.<\/span>
