\nWhoosh as orange flame fingers
\nretract into acute fire
\na conflagration of blue-white.<\/p>\n
\npour on a drop of cooking oil
\nheat until it starts to sizzle
\nlay sausages out on the pan.<\/p>\n
\nskin turns milky and translucent
\nviciously bubbling until
\nthey burst and spit livid juices.<\/p>\n
\nI twist the knob from high to low
\nand move the sausages around
\ntry not to burn down the kitchen.<\/p>\n
