I want to sing in the worst way, always have. Fortunately for the guy in the next lane, my windows are up.<\/span><br style=\"font-family: Courier New,Courier,mono;\"><br style=\"font-family: Courier New,Courier,mono;\"><span style=\"font-family: Courier New,Courier,mono;\">\u201cLife isn\u2019t fair,\u201d my mother always said. She was so right! My sisters sing beautifully. \u201cAngels\u201d, she called them.<\/span><br style=\"font-family: Courier New,Courier,mono;\"><br style=\"font-family: Courier New,Courier,mono;\"><span style=\"font-family: Courier New,Courier,mono;\">They sound like Leona Lewis, with such incredible range. And they know to dance like her too, as if they\u2019re making love with the wall. Another thing I\u2019d really like to do well, but I\u2019m the queen of klutz. That saying about walking and chewing gum fits me to a T and just forget doing it in stilettos, like Leona. An untied sneaker is my equivalent to running with scissors.<\/span><br style=\"font-family: Courier New,Courier,mono;\"><br style=\"font-family: Courier New,Courier,mono;\"><span style=\"font-family: Courier New,Courier,mono;\">It\u2019s incredible when someone opens their mouth and sound so spectacular comes out, especially if she has less than mediocre speaking voice. Looks become unimportant as well, a person can forget all about the face when the singer\u2019s languishing between the music and lyrics, fully entrenched in its meaning, but oh my, if they are pretty. The combination is breath-taking, a sure fire hit.<\/span><br style=\"font-family: Courier New,Courier,mono;\"><br style=\"font-family: Courier New,Courier,mono;\"><span style=\"font-family: Courier New,Courier,mono;\">Tone deaf and un-coordinated, I can\u2019t do anything of the things I want to do. Somehow I missed out on the dancing and singing genes and now that\u2019s all I want to do, sing. Love songs, hate songs, rock and roll, folk ballets, any song, just as long as I can sing it. I\u2019ll do anything that proves I have some special talent.<\/span><br style=\"font-family: Courier New,Courier,mono;\"><br style=\"font-family: Courier New,Courier,mono;\"><span style=\"font-family: Courier New,Courier,mono;\">Then you touch my arm and laugh, \u201cYou can really belt it out.\u201d<\/span><br style=\"font-family: Courier New,Courier,mono;\"><br style=\"font-family: Courier New,Courier,mono;\"><span style=\"font-family: Courier New,Courier,mono;\">\u201cIt\u2019s for you,\u201d I say, \u201csorry it\u2019s not very good.\u201d<\/span><br style=\"font-family: Courier New,Courier,mono;\"><br style=\"font-family: Courier New,Courier,mono;\"><span style=\"font-family: Courier New,Courier,mono;\">Then I realize I don\u2019t have to be good and just because I can\u2019t sing doesn\u2019t mean I can\u2019t get what I want. You\u2019re still sitting next to me, besides singing is fun.<\/span><br style=\"font-family: Courier New,Courier,mono;\"><br style=\"font-family: Courier New,Courier,mono;\"><span style=\"font-family: Courier New,Courier,mono;\">\u201cThat doesn\u2019t matter, you\u2019re still my angel,\u201d you tell me and kiss my hand as if I\u2019m royalty.<\/span><br style=\"font-family: Courier New,Courier,mono;\"><br style=\"font-family: Courier New,Courier,mono;\"><span style=\"font-family: Courier New,Courier,mono;\">With my best flirty eyes, I ask, \u201cSo what do you want for dinner?\u201d<\/span><br style=\"font-family: Courier New,Courier,mono;\"><br style=\"font-family: Courier New,Courier,mono;\"><br style=\"font-family: Courier New,Courier,mono;\"><br style=\"font-family: Courier New,Courier,mono;\"><span style=\"font-family: Courier New,Courier,mono;\">* Terry McKee lives in southern Florida, with her husband, three dogs, two horses, numerous lizards and six dragon flies.<\/span><br style=\"font-family: Courier New,Courier,mono;\"><\/font><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I Can\u2019t Sing but That Doesn\u2019t Mean I Don\u2019t Love You&nbsp;I\u2019m driving down the road, on my way to the market to get something for dinner, singing along with a love song on the radio, even though I know I can\u2019t sing, still that doesn\u2019t stop me from singing.
