Human poetry off Gower<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
The wind is unravelling itself
\nto the elephant seals’ counterpoint
\ntheir almost-chant is a slither-wash
\nto these glistens the sands of Gower glistral
\nthe pent cliffs of the shining tongue
\nwhere the word is suffocated in the embers
\nof the sunset\u00a0\u2028and the stroking moonlight
\ndeftly outlines the humps and eggs
\nwhere it\u00a0swells to\u00a0the waves’ music this poetry
\nin its silverings this is the seas root, the sea gorse washing cleansed itself.
\nThe seals’ benediction\u00a0is almost the cry of the baby.
\nIt is supplanting clamberingly tiny flippers across the wave worn littoral
\nwhere cockles striate granite and the lisping song staccato clatter
\nof piled bivalves their trouvailles assembled aboriginal indigines
\nhere the human should submerge in wonder the poetry complete
\nyet the moral points, that entropic surge disassembles
\ncoast and path and breakwater. Aproned clustering cockles
\ngathering girls in dusk, waiting for the last train.<\/p>\n
