I close my eyes.<\/p>\n<p>The space between my ears goes numb.<\/p>\n<p>My wrist bones disengage, reach out<br \/>\nto fingers fanned like a sea bird\u2019s wing.<\/p>\n<p>A rhythm dances in my forehead.<\/p>\n<p>Every breath lifts fox-fur ribs to sternum,<br \/>\nshoulders stretch through glass.<\/p>\n<p>I\u2019m inches taller, further from the earth.<\/p>\n<p>Released from mind, my body is not mine.<br \/>\nI\u2019m a gamelan for the setting sun.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b><span lang=\"EN-US\">Kathy Gee\u2019s <\/span><\/b><span lang=\"EN-US\">first collection \u2013 <em>Book of Bones<\/em> \u2013 was published by V.
