Dinner Time<\/span>
 <\/span>

Here the lapin jumps over<\/span>
Pots of boiling vegetables<\/span>

Bites a vein on a chef's arm<\/span>
And darts through the service door<\/span>

He pisses on a waiter's shoe<\/span>
And passes sous la table<\/span>
Where the president enjoys t\u00eate de veau<\/span>

This skinned rabbit<\/span>
Looks up the first lady's skirt<\/span>
While nibbling at crumbs<\/span>

Some customers who've finished their coffee<\/span>
And paid l'addition<\/span>
Get up from their seats<\/span>

And the man who trades as a lawyer<\/span>
But paints his dead daughters portrait<\/span>
Each week<\/span>
Holds the door<\/span>
For those he's just lunched with<\/span>

The cold rabbit surges out the door<\/span>
Onto Rue de Beaujolais and joins<\/span>

A dozen snails, half a cow's head<\/span>
And several frogs on their way<\/span>
To a safe haven<\/span>
