Then, you held<br \/>\nbuttercups under chins, killed wasps,<\/p>\n<p>dug holes, swam like a starfish, climbed<br \/>\napple trees. Soon, you grew up fast and thin,<br \/>\nfought in meadows, told black and white lies,<\/p>\n<p>spoke to Diana the moon at night,<br \/>\nlost teeth, kicked balls against the pricks<br \/>\nand told the Speaking Clock to go fuck itself.<\/p>\n<p>Much later, in the golden age of cigarettes,<br \/>\nyou smiled at the girls with Pepsi-blue eyes<br \/>\nin the Coke-black dark, smirked at Christ<\/p>\n<p>in a Welsh church, pissed money up walls<br \/>\nand watched it fall.
