Flames<\/span>

 <\/span>
They say \u2018She\u2019s out of control.\u2019<\/span>
\u2018Someone should do something.\u2019<\/span>
They phone social services, who send nice women with too quiet voices to soothe and help. <\/span>
They go away again, smiling,<\/span>
satisfied that their sensible advice has made a difference.<\/span>
How lovely for them.<\/span>
The last one \u2013<\/span>
\u2018Just call me Mimi, my name is too difficult for you to pronounce,\u2019<\/span>
suggested that I express myself in another way.<\/span>
Stop punishing myself, <\/span>
stop the cut and slice relief, <\/span>
give myself a break.<\/span>
So I have.<\/span>
Petrol and one match, simple.<\/span>
Flames!<\/span>
Licking, zagging, spreading.<\/span>
Spitting burns.<\/span>
Out of control.<\/span>
