In the distance planes<\/p>\n<p>are sucked through sunrays into LAX<br \/>\nothers spat out into the fouled air.<br \/>\nThe city is seeping into the landscape<br \/>\na stain is spreading forever outwards.<\/p>\n<p>Vehicles trying to leave the city<br \/>\nare held up by blue flashing lights,<br \/>\nfrom all directions hot steel and rubber<br \/>\nstop, jamming every stilted highway.<\/p>\n<p>Logo to logo, urgent to leave to get to<br \/>\nwherever, whatever. Now whenever.<br \/>\nWe continue on in, going towards what?<\/p>\n<p>A stain is spreading forever outwards.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Martin Johns<\/strong> lives in Northamptonshire.
