\nat standard rock setting
\nor frantically manipulated
\nby the band’s sound engineer,
\nin the low ceilinged room,
\ncarpeted by beer and dust.<\/p>\n
\nmake-outs, splits,
\nbrilliant solos,
\nevery single mirror-
\npracticed posture,
\nwithout comment.<\/p>\n
\nstarting with shoegazing indie
\nfrom open car windows,
\ntraditional Serb folk
\nfrom the Saxby Street B&Bs,
\nmoving through a bridge
\nof bangra, walking past
\nthat hippie household,
\nbefore being blasted
\nby urban and rap
\nthen shutting the door
\nand letting that night’s
\ngig reverberate to fade.<\/p>\n
\nthose who played on
\nthat stage,
\nthe uneven floor
\nscattered with gaffa tape,
\nabandoned plectrums
\nand the random splatter
\nof dark red, spilt paint.<\/p>\n
