I&#8217;m afraid it won\u2019t be<br \/>\nplayed out when my tap shoes confront your<br \/>\nsteel-capped boots in the elbows of corridors.<\/p>\n<p>We roll in coffee grains, smelling so good<br \/>\nI decide to repeat this game with subsequent lovers,<br \/>\nto scatter coffee in all of my rooms.<\/p>\n<p>I smear myself in vaseline and am arrested<br \/>\nwhen I use you without permission<br \/>\nin my stick dance, my stroll dance.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Karen Little<\/strong>&#8216;s poems and short stories have recently been published in over forty magazines and anthologies, including <em>Best of Manchester Poets, Southern Pacific Review, <\/em>and<em> Under the Radar<\/em> magazine.
