\nYou know the sort I mean,
\nAll bent on domination;
\nGiving vent to all that spleen.
\nI like to think I’m different
\nFrom other Dalek crew,
\nWho keep emotions hidden
\nWhile exterminating you.
\nI don’t agree with killing,
\nWith plans to subjugate.
\nThe Universe is lovely
\nAnd I find it hard to hate.
\nIn fact, I’ve got my own plan;
\nI’m working from within!
\nI’m teaching other Daleks
\nHow to\u00a0knit and sew and spin.
\nI run a secret workshop
\nWhere Daleks can relax
\nAnd find their inner Dalek;
\nGet the monkey off their backs.
\nWe try to be creative;
\nTo make things, not destroy.
\nI\u00a0run a Dalek choir
\nLearning\u00a0Ludwig’s ‘Ode To\u00a0Joy’.
\nSo if you see a Dalek
\nIn homeknit wool poncho,
\nDon’t run off in a panic,
\nCome across and say ‘Hello!’<\/p>\n
