Everywhere kanji,<\/span>
even in<\/span>
the mushroom slices.<\/span>

puffball <\/span>
on this cloudless day<\/span>
a cloud of life<\/span>
 <\/span>
In monochrome<\/span>
walking through<\/span>
these winter woods.<\/span>
 <\/span>
maple litter<\/span>
strangely comforting <\/span>
the fragrant rot <\/span>
 <\/span>
After they fall<\/span>
sound<\/span>
of hickory nuts.<\/span>
 <\/span>
in my cuff <\/span>
some of the forest <\/span>
has come with me<\/span>

Pine needles<\/span>
on his pillow…<\/span>
how I love his morning face.<\/p>\n
