Grills, tires. Pecking.<br \/>\nIf you honked a car horn at them,<br \/>\nthen you were speaking their language.<br \/>\nThey&#8217;d hiss and cuss you out.<br \/>\nThe folks in town got so fed up<br \/>\nwith those geese that we did exactly that:<br \/>\nfed up on them.<\/p>\n<p>So, stranger,<br \/>\nwelcome to our local tavern.<br \/>\nLet me buy you a drink.<br \/>\nJust don\u2019t cuss anybody.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Joe Cottonwood<\/strong> has worked as a carpenter, plumber, and electrician for most of his life. He is the author of nine published novels, a book of poetry, and a memoir. He lives in La Honda, California,\u00a0where he built a house and raised a family.
