{"id":10502,"date":"2016-04-18T08:00:41","date_gmt":"2016-04-18T08:00:41","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/ink.verticalplus.co.uk\/archive\/?p=10502"},"modified":"2016-03-29T12:29:00","modified_gmt":"2016-03-29T12:29:00","slug":"clive-donovan-4","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/inksweatandtears.co.uk\/archive\/clive-donovan-4\/","title":{"rendered":"Clive Donovan"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Already it Has Risen<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The sun has already risen.<br \/>\nIt slashes merciless rays,<br \/>\nSpreading vitamin D and radiation equally.<br \/>\nThe paint on the front door peels<br \/>\nUnder its ferocious examination.<br \/>\nIt pours through the keyhole<br \/>\nEasy as milk.<\/p>\n<p>Nestling its shape quite solid on the floor,<br \/>\nIts onslaught over, it marks a question;<br \/>\nIts position and shape ever shifting slightly,<br \/>\nBut laying the same question each cloudless day.<br \/>\nThen the cat pats the intangible spot<br \/>\n\u2013 Golden like butter! \u2013 And jumps!<br \/>\nAs a tumble of letters lands.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Clive Donovan<\/strong> is a full-time writer of poetry living in the creative atmosphere of Totnes in Devon.
